    The Kabbalah, Magick,...

The Kabbalah, Magick, and Thelema, Selected Writings VOL. II

LIKE NEW. SIGNED BY David Shoemaker, Gregory Peters and Rorac Johnson. Hardcover, dustjacket. First edition, limited to 666 numbered copies. This is no. 114. Volume II only. Foreword by Lon Milo DuQuette. (Aleister Crowley: related works) Rare. Phyllis Seckler (Soror Meral, 1917-2004) was introduced to the teachings of Aleister Crowley in the late 1930s and became a regular participant in the activities of Agape Lodge of the Ordo Templi Orientis in California, and rose to become a Ninth Degree member of the "Sovereign Sanctuary of the Gnosis, " and an Adeptus Minor of the A.'. A.'. "The Kabbalah, Magick, and Thelema" is the second volume of writings by Phyllis Seckler to be published by the College of Thelema of Northern California in association with The Teitan Press. Like the first volume, this collection is edited and introduced by three of Seckler's former students: Rorac Johnson, Gregory Peters, and David Shoemaker, but this second volume additionally includes a short Foreword by one of her best-known early A.'. A.'. students, Lon Milo DuQuette. In common with Crowley, Seckler found short, pithy essays, written in the form of "letters, " to be an excellent and powerful teaching method, and the main body of this work comprises a series of these letters, covering diverse topics from kabbalah and the practice of ritual magic, through philosophy and spiritual enquiry to commentary on the Thelemic culture of the time. Originally published in Seckler's journal "In the Continuum, " they are here presented for the first time in book form, accompanied by redrawn and corrected diagrams. The book also reproduces a number of important letters that passed between Seckler and other significant figures in the history of post-Crowleyan Thelema, including Karl Germer, Israel Regardie, Grady McMurtry, Gerald Yorke, and Marcelo Motta. These letters, which cover matters as varied as the leadership succession of the O.T.O. and the thefts at Karl Germer's library, are published here for the first time.

    The New Hermetics.

    The New Hermetics.

    Paperback, as new.

The New Hermetics is a powerful spiritual technology of the mind. It is a course of study and practice that teaches the science of illumination and the ability to alter reality. The ancient Egyptian form of Hermetic philosophy was that the mind shapes reality. The New Hermetics extends that philosophy - the universe is a great mind or consciousness, and we are a part of that consciousness; therefore by learning to control the mind, we learn to control our part of the universe. With updated versions of the ancient Rosicrucian brotherhood's 10 levels of initiation, combined with ancient and modern mind-expanding techniques such as visualization and NLP (neuro-linguistic programming), The New Hermetics progressively gives initiates power over their minds and world. Practicing these elements simultaneously makes it possible to undergo initiation into the mysteries of consciousness in a fraction of the time it was ever before possible. The course offered in the book lets practitioners master their minds in such a way that they will be able to achieve anything and everything they want in life, spiritually and physically. The New Hermetics offers 10 levels of instruction to control the mind and control reality: Level 1-The Initiate teaches mastery over behavior and visualization in the Ether. Level 2-The Zealot bestows mastery over emotions, breathing, and Etheric energy. Level 3-The Practitioner gives mastery over mind, beliefs, and the ability to project Etheric energy. Level 4-The Philosopher masters creativity, values, and the ability to direct Etheric energy. Level 5-The Adept develops relationship with cosmic consciousness. Level 6-The Advanced Adept offers the power to direct the forces of cosmic consciousness. Level 7-The Perfect Adept gives wisdom and the ability to share these forces with others. Level 8-The Master bestows mastery of cosmic consciousness. Level 9-The Mage gains mastery of universal power. Level 10-The Ultimate Master obtains mastery over the universal self. The New Hermetics is a powerful course of instruction that can help anyone master themselves to rule their world.

    Musings of a Thelemite

    Musings of a Thelemite

    Paperback, as new. With illustrations.

Although there are a few books on Thelema in print, they are mostly by Crowley himself. Some have said it is time for a contemporary to write on Thelema. To those, Da'Neos has answered. For him, the story did not end in 1947, and he represents the forefront of the new Thelemic movement. Da'Neos is that first brave soul who dares write where others keep silent. He is anything but timid or apologetic. Although he looks at Thelema in light of the 21st century, he stays true to the original ideas of Crowley . Da'Neos writes about how he came to write this book, in spiritual terms. He describes how he came to dedicate himself to a spiritual life, and the various systems of belief that he examined and lived through before coming to Thelema. It is a story of becoming, including the ramifications for holding certain ideas. He is the first Thelemic author to fully write about the Three Aeons, a subject that has been left in pitiful shape for many years. Da'Neos examines the current of spiritual development that has advanced through history, and how this spiritual current has been materialized through exoteric belief systems. Da'Neos describes what "conversation with the Holy Guardian Angel" is truly like. Even Crowley himself only hints at it. He describes, in a gripping narrative, of how he came to find his True Self, and the results of that finding. This is only a small sampling of the many areas Da'Neos covers. He goes on to write in detail on Thelemic ritual, the entire development of the Kabbala, examinations of the true force behind Christianity, and much more.
