The author, George Meredith, has been the personal physician of Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh for the past nine years. A graduate of St. Thomas Hospital, London, and a member of the Royal College of Physicians, Dr. Meredith met Bhagwan in 1976, became a disciple a year later and moved into the Shree Rajneesh Ashram in Poona, India.

Dr. Meredith accompanied the famous mystic to America in 1981, caring for him during the four years at Rajneeshpuram - the commune in Oragon, USA. During that time Dr. Meredith was the target of a murder attempt. In 1986 he was one of the small party who accompanied Bhagwan on his extraordinary world tour.
