Und mit Panorama auf Eiger, Mönch und Jungfrau lässt sich das Berner Oberland durchqueren. Selbst ausgewiesene Kenner der Schweizer Bergwelt werden in diesem Buch noch manch unbekannte Traumtour finden.

    Jede Tour wird mit einer ausführlichen Wegbeschreibung, einer Karte mit eingezeichnetem Routenverlauf und einem aussagekräftigen Höhenprofil vorgestellt. Eine praktische Tourenübersicht informiert über alle wichtigen Punkte zur Wanderung. GPS-Tracks stehen zum Download von der Rother-Website bereit. Besonders praktisch ist der Tourenüberblick im Umschlag, der sämtliche Touren im Vergleich präsentiert. Die vielen fantastischen Fotos wecken die Vorfreude auf die Hüttentour.

Der Schwerpunkt liegt bei vier- bis fünftägigen Wanderungen. Gut beraten ist jedoch, wer immer etwas mehr Zeit einplant – für entspannte Ruhetage in den Hütten, erholsame Stunden an einem der zahlreichen Bergseen und die Besteigung einiger »am Wegrand« liegenden Gipfel. Die Schwierigkeit der Touren reicht von einfachen Wanderungen für Hüttentrekking-Einsteiger und Familien mit Kindern bis zu Routen, die ein hohes Maß an Trittsicherheit in alpinem Gelände und Gletschererfahrung voraussetzen. Auch für Klettersteiggeher wird etwas geboten: Wer es gerne luftig unter den Sohlen mag, wird auf den Bocchette-Wegen in der Brenta seine Herausforderung finden. Ralf Gantzhorn und Andreas Seeger sind für dieses Buch Tausende von Höhenmetern in den gesamten Ostalpen abgelaufen und haben zahlreiche Hütten getestet.
