Ethics and Security

This book argues that 'ethics' and 'security' are interconnected and that they also reinforce each other. It provides a peer-reviewed, state-of-the-art analysis of this interrelationship. Classical examples of organizations charged with security tasks - such as the police and the army - are among the subjects of research. Additionally, the private security sector is examined. The book deals with moral wrongs, such as: corruption, the disproportionate use of violence, the fabrication of evidence, or the discriminate distribution of safety.
