    Chakra Therapy

    Chakra Therapy

Engelstalige pocket, in redelijk tot goede staat

In Chakra Therapy by Keith Sherwood you will learn that the chakras are more than colored areas in your aura. They function as distribution centers for the energy that flows through your body. If theyre blocked, the energy doesnt flow and mental, physical, emotional, or spiritual problems can result. But you can clear the blockages and overcome the problems quickly and easily with the powerful yet simple techniques in this book.
You will learn how each chakra functions. Yes, the book explains this for your mind, but for your deepest, inner self - what Sherwood calls your I AM - you have to learn through intuition and true understanding. In order to accomplish this, Chakra Therapy includes meditations for each of the chakras. Even if you have studied the chakras for years, practicing these meditations will help you understand them on a deeper level than ever before.
Once you understand them you can clear them of blockages. This is the real Chakra Therapy. It begins with three simple exercises called locks, which can be performed lying down or sitting in a chair. When the energy starts to flow, you will need to know how to open and balance the chakras. The book covers this, too.
Then there is nothing to stop you. You''ll discover the techniques for cleansing the chakras and working with energy through simple yoga methods and breathwork that will bring you to a healthier, more energetic, and more balanced state than ever before.
If you are ready to change your life for better health and happiness, get Chakra Therapy today.

    How to Think About...

    How to Think About Exercise

Mooi exemplaar. Paperback als nieuw. Engelstalig.

It can often seem as though existence is split in two: body and mind, flesh and spirit, moving and thinking. In the office or at study we are 'mind workers', with superfluous bodies. In the gym we stretch, run and lift, but our minds are idle. Damon Young challenges this idea, revealing how fitness can develop our bodies and minds as one. Exploring exercises and sports with the help of ancient and modern philosophy, he uncovers the pleasures, virtues and big ideas of fitness. By exercising intelligently, we are committing to wholeness: enjoying and enhancing our full humanity. One in the new series of books from The School of Life, launched January 2014: How to Age by Anne Karpf How to Develop Emotional Health by Oliver James How to Be Alone by Sara Maitland How to Deal with Adversity by Christopher Hamilton How to Think About Exercise by Damon Young How to Connect with Nature by Tristan Gooley 'This new series of The School of Life's self-help books build on the strengths of the first, tackling some of the hardest issues of our lives in a way that is genuinely informative, helpful and consoling. Here are books that prove that the term self-help doesn't have to be either shallow or naive' Alain de Botton, Founder of The School of Life books that prove that the term self-help doesn't have to be either shallow or naive' Alain de Botton, Founder of The School of Life.

    Intimate Relations

    Intimate Relations

Gebonden met omslag, in nieuwstaat. Engels.

Intimate Relations advances a radically new view of love and marriage. Liam Hudson and Bernadine Jacot show that early psychological development leaves adults of both sexes ill-equipped to understand one another's intimate needs and fears. But they go on to demonstrate that these patterns of difference are also the substance of heterosexual fascination, responsible for the rewards as well as the pitfalls familiar to each of us.
In their earlier book, The Way Men Think, the authors described those aspects of the male imagination which make men strange in the eyes of women. The authors now focus on patterns of female emotional development, and conclude that these too are the source of an emotional burden or disability: an 'incubus' that women carry through life, and that renders their intimacies with men a source not only of gratification but of depression.
The authors describe in vivid detail the lives of remarkable women - Vera Brittain, Kate Millett, Margaret Thatcher and Margaret Mead - establishing the subtle nature of sex differences. They also use material from the novels of Julian Barnes, Doris Lessing and Marguerite Duras, and from the career of the painter Walter Sickert, to reveal the processes whereby turbulent emotion is transformed into manageable form.
Hudson and Jacot reject the discussion of passionate relationships in terms of 'sexuality'. Erotically charged intimacy, they argue, is an exercise of the individual's imaginative powers. Consequently, it is the parallel between intimacy and art which is the royal road to a better understanding of desire and of the ways in which it is expressed.

    De cholesteroloorlog

    De cholesteroloorlog

Paperback in goede staat. Rechte rug.
